Qwasa Qwasa definitely puts himself on the map with this first EP: C’est quoi ça?. He succeeds in creating a very own style mixing loads of different musical influences with well-chosen organic samples from Africa and so much more. Night Shop starts with an enchanting flute and results in a beautifully crafted earworm evoking images of Africa, the Far East and a sweaty club. Likembés, African chants and an efficient beat make up the ingredients of Simba. Kiss me is bold, cheeky and exhibits a keen sense of humour, the perfect opener for a farewell mixtape. Despite his young age this talented producer displays a mature approach to both sampling and producing.
