Last month’s juke and zouk bass inspired Harissa EP by Jabo is followed up by this collection of remixes that sit around the 130 mark. First up there is Melbourne boss Lewis CanCut channeling the golden age of UK funky on his version of Harissa. Then Swiss-Rwandan producer Bauchamp reworks Pastilla into a percussive roller that should appeal to club and ballroom heads, afro beats afficionados and the funky massive alike. The label’s own DJ Mellow is closing the proceedings with another take on the same track, opting for booming bass music infused with heavily syncopated caribbean swing.
