We kick off with up and coming UK bass phenomenon Morcee who provides us with a highly original take on Murlo’s “Patang”, turning the majestic dancehall riddim into a relentless, gnarly 2-stepper.
Next up French producer Chicky Boom remixes another track off the Quartz EP, infusing Murlo’s “Soundboy” with a shuffling reggae rhythm and a big, dubby bassline.
In the seductive “Elektricity” Max Le Daron ventures into breakstep territory before switching to funky roller mode, everything firmly underpinned by a nice and bubbly bassline.
“Do U Wanna Have A Party” sees DJ Mellow updating the booty breaks sound with today’s sense of syncopation to create a sure-fire partystarter of pretty epic proportions.
With “Jolly”, rumoured to be an hommage to the smartest horse in the Wild West, übernoob Excyta hands in an infectious bubbler that shows great promise for his imminent debut on Lowup Records.
